Protect the People's Court

The magistrate courts in New Mexico were set up intentionally to be of the people, by the people, and for the people - a court about resolution and mediation led by one of your own. The People's Court deserves a Judge that understands our community - it's needs, shortcomings but most importantly - its people.

The magistrate court handles petty misdemeanors, traffic violations, DWIs and disputes like HOA and landlord/tenant disputes. These are conflicts and crimes that deserve resolution and a Judge, like Matt, with a track record of lifting our most vulnerable while protecting our community and supporting small businesses with smart law enforcement.

With a growing unhoused population and mental health issues on the rise - Matt is the only candidate in the race with the understanding and compassion necessary to ensure our jails aren't treated like mental health hospitals or homeless shelters. He also understands the "revolving door" must stop. Matt has spent years addressing housing, food scarcity and access to health care for our most vulnerable. He knows our families and has worked with many of our businesses to ensure continued growth and success.

The magistrate court deserves a Judge that knows us, our community and our issues. This is the last court where you have a real voice - use it with your vote for Matt Runnels for Magistrate Judge.
